In CEC (Canadian Experience Class)

One of the most successful immigration programs is being curtailed by the Conservative government.

The Canadian Experience Class was one of the more successful programs allowing over 25,000 immigrants to obtain permanent residence status if they had worked in Canada for one year or more.

That program is now being limited to 12,000 per year and certain individuals who would have previously qualified can no longer apply, namely, cooks, food service supervisors, administrative officers, administrative assistants, bookkeepers and retail sales supervisors.
