Joy came to B.C. from the Philippines, where she was a doctor. WelcomeBC’s Skills Connect for Immigrants program helped Joy lay the foundation to get her foreign qualifications recognized and win a competitive medical residency position. She now lives and works in the community of Port McNeill.
